I started this blog 7 years ago as a way to vent my frustrations with our messed up healthcare system.
Since then, I’ve written hundreds of posts on healthcare policy and reform, navigating the system to save money, and staying healthy to avoid being in the system altogether.
Thank you to everyone who has shared their stories, asked questions, or suggested topics for me to research.
Healthcare has some powerful players; what they seem to ignore is that their decisions about healthcare’s access and affordability hurt the people they claim to be helping.
The situation has only gotten worse in the last 7 years.
But I applaud the many, many physicians, nurses and other health professionals who struggle against bureaucracy to provide quality and compassionate care.
My hope for the future is that their voices, combined with the millions of Americans who are not getting the care they deserve, are finally heard.
In the meantime, I’m going to take a sabbatical to work on other writing projects. Although I won’t be adding new posts for awhile, I’ll keep the website up and continue to update my Resources and Book Shelf pages.
